Tarvin Carnival Rose Queen and Roseud elect March 1990 Scan_20170724

In March 1990 entrants for the Tarvin Carnival Queen competition gathered at the Community Centre for the selection evening.

Twelve-year-old Sarah Murray Smith was chosen as the Carnival Queen elect and, alongside her in the photograph, is Lisa-Jane Roberts who was chosen as Rosebud elect.

Both were due to be crowned at the carnival which was on 16th June that year.

Finally, after what has felt like a life time without the Co-op cash machine the police think they have finally caught the culprit.
