Bowling Club

The AGM of Tarvin Bowling Club was held on the 26th February. The turn out was far better than anticipated resulting in seven new members being enrolled and interest shown from at least one other.
Last season was a particular good one for Tarvin in both the Chester and the Norley Leagues.
The Chester team finished 4th in the league and were runners up in the Eldridge Cup. Prize money was awarded for both.
The Norley 'A' team finished third in their league and gained promotion to the second division and again were awarded prize money.

Two County games were played at Tarvin this year and provided some excellent bowling.

Repairs have now been carried out to the floodlights and extensive work around the green has left the club a very pleasant venue for playing and spectating.

The green will open for play later this month (March) and we look forward to meeting any potential new members. It is not necessary to be able to play or to have your own bowls as there is always someone willing to give instruction. Please come and give it a try, for further information ring Errol on 741389.
