There is still time to have your say on parking in Cheshire West by getting involved in Cheshire West and Chester Council's Parking Strategy consultation.

The Council needs your views to help it develop a Strategy that will provide parking for the 21st century that will meet the needs of all its customers. Society is evolving, car ownership increasing and parking provision in town centres and rural areas must keep pace. People are being asked for their views during a 12-week consultation that finishes on 24 February.

The preliminary findings in a draft report, put together by independent consultants, cover a wide range of parking issues, including supply and demand, parking locations, on- and off-street parking, charging, car park quality and enforcement.

Drop-in sessions, which are being led by the independent consultants, have been organised across the borough to give residents the opportunity to give their views. You do not need to register, just turn up on the day.

It's important to stress that no decisions have been made and the consultation is only on the proposals made by the independent consultants. These include some better alternatives to current parking concessions that will appeal to a wider range of motorists and help to cut congestion, while continuing to support businesses.

For Tarporley, Tarvin and Kelsall area the local drop in meeting is on Tuesday, 24 January 2017, 3pm – 7pm at Tarporley Community Centre, High Street, Tarporley, CW6 0AY.
