Oxbridge success for Sebastian, Annie and William

All of our Year 13 students, who applied for university courses, submitted their entries well before the January 15th UCAS deadline. We pride ourselves on the high standard of our UCAS applications and this was borne out by the excellent responses students received from their chosen universities. In particular, we were delighted to receive written praise from the Senior Admissions Tutor at the University of Sheffield who commended Deputy Head Girl, Molly Peake, following her outstanding Chemistry interview.

As always, students applied for a diverse range of courses from Economics, PPE, Engineering and Product Design to Biomedical Sciences, English, History, Veterinary Physiotherapy and Dentistry.

Congratulations to all Year 13 and to William Ainsworth and Sebastian Ziman who received offers from Oxford University to read Mathematics at Oriel and Lady Margaret Hall College respectively, as well as to Annie Robey who has received an offer from Kings College Cambridge to read Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.

Director of Sixth Form Chris Nuttall said "I am delighted that once again our students have excelled and demonstrated the very highest of standards in their University applications."

We've all been enjoying the lovely, hot weather but the lack of rain and high demand for water means our reservoirs are now lower than we'd like them to be at this time of year. That's why a hosepipe ban will be introduced across the North West from5th August 2018. This means householders won't be allowed to use either a hosepipe or sprinkler as these use an incredible amount of...
