Dimwits 2015 V2

Another great quiz contest put together by a team led by Margaret Dixon. Incidentally the quiz started way back in 1982 with only one break in 2001. We hope to tease some history about the quiz from Margaret over the last 32 years.
This year a team called Dimwits were successful and we believe they were our first complete family team. We hope to get some more on their background shortly.

So what was their path to glory?
In the final they challenged St. Andrews and the contest was close at 29 v 26.

In the semi-finals they beat TMP ( last years winner) 31 v25

Earlier rounds saw them beating off challenges from the Flower Club 32 v 28

and in the 1st round they got off to an excellent start with a 33 v 18 win over the Community Centre.

Like most knockout competitions every round is a "new start" and how well you did in previous rounds is unfortunately irrelevant. For example TMP had the highest score achieved by any team in the entire contest in the first round but lost out in the semi-final to the eventual winners.
Its just the luck of the draw with the questions and how well they suit your team. Well that's what I keep telling myself!
