The Parish Council is delighted to announce that they will be awarding a grant of £1,000 to the Tarvin Bowling Club. The money will come from the funds received under the New Homes Bonus that brings funds into a community when new housing is built.

The request has been made to help the club deal with the deteriorating state of the playing surface. The recent long spell of relatively dry weather has compacted the green. Remedial work to be undertaken this autumn will consist of deep coring, scarifying, and reseeding. The Parish Council recognises the importance of the Bowling Club to the sporting life of the Parish, and is delighted to be able to help.
