King George V Playing Field- the smoking gun? - Part 2

Home » Newsroom » The smoking gun? - Part 2

Earlier we asked you to guess how many items connected to smoking had been picked up on the playing field over three days.

The results of the count are:
* 340 dogends
* 15 filter tubes
* 26 cigarette papers
* 3 cigarette packets
* 9 plastic sachets

Can we deduce anything from these figures?
First, it's important to note that the weather was good on the days in question, so the field was well used.

Secondly, arguably the place in Tarvin village which should be one of the healthiest, also may not to be so.

Thirdly, and most importantly, is smoking on the playing field out of control?

Nobody really knows, but these results should make everyone (and perhaps particularly parents of young people) think.
