One sunny day earlier in the year, Councillor Sue Hardacre was chatting to some Mums enjoying the sunshine in the children's play area on the Playing Field. They were having a great time watching their little ones play but did comment that the seating for adults was very uncomfortable. As a result, the Parish Council agreed to buy a new seat.

It was delivered recently and now awaits installation.
However, there is a problem, and a weighty one at that! The seat weighs 115 kgs, and although the Parish Council has someone in line to do the installation work, it is too heavy for him to move on site by himself.

Can you help?

If you can spare some time any morning next week – either Tuesday 10th November or Wednesday 11th November- can you get in touch with Mike Hassall on 01829 741075 or e-mail Miketarvinparish@aol.com and offer to help move the seat from the rear of the Community Centre to its new home on the play area.

This is one of the special projects that the Parish Council is considering at the moment. The Council receives money from the New Homes Bonus, a government grant paid when new housing development occurs in a parish area. This means that there is a fund of money, not huge but quite substantial, that can be used to improve amenities that will benefit life in the Parish and improve the lives of residents.

If you have an idea for how you would like to see the money spent, email Mike on miketarvinparish@aol.com or talk to any Councillor
