Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) is reviewing and updating its playing pitch strategy. The aim of the review is:-

a) to provide updated information on existing and future needs for playing pitches, and on how those needs can be met;

b) to review surpluses or shortfalls in playing pitch provision;

c) to provide background evidence to support the emerging Local Plan policies for formal recreation.

The review is being carried out by a sports consultancy, Knight, Kavanagh and Page
.
The Parish Council will be considering how to respond to the review at its meeting on 23 March. In the meantime, any sports group in the Tarvin area which wants to comment on playing pitch issues can do so by email to claire.fallon@kkp.co.uk, or by writing to Calvin Stockton, Green Infrastructure Officer, CWaC, Wyvern House, The Drummer, Winsford, CW7 1AH
