"Well well, miracles never cease!
I complained to TalkTalk that I knew (care of the excellent Tarvin Online) that they had connected someone in Tarvin, and the operator I spoke to had simply done the online check that I had done.
24 hours later they phoned me and offered me a superfast deal (only 38mbs here but we are away from the exchange I guess) and a free TalkTalk TV box. Whatever that is.
Engineer booked for the 16th July"

With a download speed of 1.3Mbps the iPlayer barely worked and his citrix connection failed to work, so he was keen to up-grade"
