It is a well-known fact that Tarvin people enjoy a good quiz. Every year for over 30 years the brightest and the best of the village have battled it out over two Friday nights in January in the annual Village Quiz.
The Community Centre is delighted to announce that it will be holding a Table Top Quiz on Friday October 6th. Doors will be open from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start and there will be the usual array of questions over eight rounds to challenge the sharpest wits. There is even talk of utilising the latest technology to provide both picture and music questions — well, this is 2017.
Tickets will stay at £2 person but a team of up to six can gain entry at the hugely discounted price of £10. Family teams or teams of younger people are very much encouraged to come along and the question master has promised that there will be questions about up to date events and modern concerns!
A very daft team name will also be honoured with a prize and even the wooden spoon will be gold plated.... maybe. With the bar open, and a raffle flung into the mix, it promises to be an evening of blue sky thinking, finger chewing frustration and fun.
If you are thinking of getting a team together please call Bryan Evans on 01829 740781. If you want to come along but are not part of a team, don't worry, there are always people looking to make a up a team on the night.
Tickets will be available later from the Post Office, keep your eyes open for details on the A-Frame.
