The 1st Tarvin Scout Troop has been up and running since November 2016 and we've had some great times. Here you can see some of the scouts enjoying themselves in the Freedome trampoline park at Cheshire Oaks just before we broke up for half term.

Scouting in Tarvin presently caters for 73 boys and girls aged from 6 to 14 years. We have three Sections: Beavers, cubs and Scouts and we are hoping to open a second Beaver colony later in the year to accommodate some of the many children on our waiting list.

You can support 1st Tarvin if you sometimes go shopping at the Co-op by becoming a member. Then 1% of everything you spend will go into the community fund. So far £608 has been raised for scouting in Tarvin by the kind shoppers who named us as the recipients. This will enable us to buy vital equipment so that we can take the children camping in June and July.
There is also another £1662 in the community fund donated by shoppers who haven't named a charity. This will be shared between us, the Community Centre and St Andrew's church (the three local charities in the fund).

There's still time to join. Next time you are in the Co-op, ask to join or go on line at the address below. It only costs a pound and, as well as helping us and the other local charities, you'll get 5% back on what you spend.
