It was so good to see the Tarvin High Street buzzing with activity last Saturday evening and it really created a great community atmosphere. Father Christmas had a very busy time.
There are so many 'thank yous' to make because the Christmas Market could not have happened without the support of individuals, local organisations and businesses and the Churches all working together – but that is what village life is all about .... A special thank you must however be given to Tarvin Primary School for the loan of gazeboes and to Phil Rowlands of Acton Marquees who came to our rescue at the eleventh hour when we were let down by our usual gazebo company.
So thanks to everyone and especially the Tarvin community for turning out in such numbers. We hope that the Christmas Market was enjoyed by all.
Those of you who bought raffle tickets will be aware that half of the money raised by the raffle is donated to local charities. This year the two charities are Tarporley War Memorial Hospital and Lydia's Lodge.
As an afterthought, if anybody has any photographs of the event which they would be happy to appear on Tarvinonline would they please forward them to the editor@tarvinonline.org
