In May 1991 more than 2,000 visitors made the trip to Tarvin Parish Church during the weekend "For Your Pleasure" craft festival. Items on display, which were either loaned or made by people from in or around Tarvin, included all kinds of needlework, lace, patchwork, metalwork, wood turning, carving, weaving, painting and pottery. The exhibition was complimented by organ music by two church organists, Mr J T Slater and Mr J Winward, and by the ringing of the church bells. The event raised about £2,900 for the St Andrew's Restoration Appeal.
