Tarvin Woodland Plant Sale Success

There are several treasured events which punctuate the Tarvin Calendar treasured, one of which is the Plant sale which takes place at Tarvin Methodist Church each May.

The remarkable thing about yesterday, I think, is the way that the village responds — both to the requests for plants (the guys carried 16 tables of plants out and there were still some left in boxes underneath tables) and the way that SO many people turn up to buy plants on the morning itself! The total take (but before some expenses) was over £1,700! The event is also noteworthy in the way that both the woodland AND the Chapel can use it as a fundraiser (even if the coffee & cake and the bacon baps are a little lower key than the plant sales!)
