Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are proposing to take occupation of part of the Cheshire West and Chester building on Meadow Close. The operation of the Community Centre, which occupies one half of the building, will be unaffected, although the Community Centre's plan to use part of the unused offices for a new toilet complex cannot now be realised. The NHS will use "their" side of the building for a COVID treatment, vaccination and living well service. This follows the end of their use of the former Huntington Primary School, Chester as a base of operations and the urgent requirement for alternative premises.

It is proposed that they will take a lease for 5 years with the option to break the lease at any time by either party. An application for change of use of this part of the building has been submitted to planning and assuming permission is granted, they hope to be in occupation by mid-August in time for the Autumn booster vaccination programme.

I'm sure all residents will join the Tarvin Community Centre Committee in extending a warm welcome to the new tenants. It's great that the unused half of the building will host this important NHS service.
