Community Questionnaire being Delivered

Members of the Community CentreCommittee will be delivering a questionnaire through all letterboxes in the next week or two and are confident that they will get a good response. Committee members will also call to collect completed returns and hope to have everything completed by the end of May.

The Community Centre has recently completed negotiations with CW&C to secure a new 25 year lease and is now in a position to apply for grant funding for improvements. All grant bodies insist that applicant can show that their plans reflect the needs and aspirations of the community. The questionnaire aims to provide such information.

Chair of the Committee Alan Wilkinson said 'We are delighted to be able to look to the future with more confidence now we have the new lease. People are using the Community Centre more and more so we need to be able to improve the facilities so that more events, clubs and societies can use the building. We think that the Centre is essential to the community spirit of the village and with your help, we can continue to provide this vital service'.

The Committee is also delighted to be able to announce that the George and Dragon have offered their support. A prize of a £40.00 meal voucher will be given to the winning return chosen randomly, as long as the return contains a telephone number or an email address.

The questionnaire is not long and should only take a few minutes to complete. This is the chance for the village to influence the future of the Community Centre for some years to come.
