The Flower Club held an fascinating meeting in April, featuring a demonstration by new member Tracy Davies, who presented her delightful floral arrangements under the theme "A Walk in the Woods." Tracy showcased five unique designs, each with its own character and charm.

Among the highlights was a striking arrangement featuring a block of wood adorned with laurel leaves, antirrhinum, yellow roses, and golden rod, enhanced by delicate feathers in shades of pink and yellow. Another noteworthy creation was an elongated bird's nest made from twigs, showcasing foliage and a selection of pink and purple flowers, all without the use of floral foam.

An Easter-themed design incorporated a large log filled with white blossoms, hellebores, daffodils, and tulips, cleverly hiding Easter eggs within the arrangement. Tracy also crafted a picnic basket inspired by the Sequoia National Park, complete with an enormous fir cone and a teddy bear, using white gerbera, lilies, and kangaroo paw.

The final design was a majestic pedestal arrangement representing the Sherwood Forest, featuring blue delphiniums, orange roses, and rust-coloured anthuriums. Tracy, a passionate gardener, plans to incorporate more of her own flowers in future displays. The evening concluded with homemade cakes served alongside tea and coffee.

Looking ahead, on 14th May, Carron White will present "Pandora's Box" at 7:30 pm in the Edna Rose room at the Community Centre, welcoming visitors to join the festivities.
