Flower Club's Festive Meeting

The Flower Club held its annual Christmas meeting, welcoming members and visitors with a glass of Buck's fizz.
Attendees enjoyed browsing stalls and participating in a raffle for two generous seasonal hampers.
Debbie Davies, the guest demonstrator, showcased her floral artistry under the theme "Charismata," a Greek word meaning charisma, and captivated the audience with her elegant appearance and designs.

Her first arrangement depicted an open fire, featuring autumnal foliage, tropical blooms, and spider gerbera, reminiscent of cosy evenings spent in front of the fire writing Christmas cards. Following this, Debbie crafted a unique welcome door wreath using a block of oasis, showcasing sprayed fatsia leaves, an aspidistra bow, and vibrant red carnations. A striking star arrangement with orchids and silver foliage followed, creating a stunning visual display.

Debbie's final pieces included a nativity-themed flexible ring adorned with mauve drapes and a Christmas tree featuring a triangular design in festive shades of red and green. The highlight was an angel cascading with roses and lilies, beautifully illuminated. The evening concluded with delicious seasonal refreshments, marking a successful end to the floral year.

The next meeting is scheduled for the A.G.M. in February.
