Further Improvements in the Community Centre

The Community Centre is delighted to announce that they have bought a new digital projector for the Edna Rose Room with the old one now being available for customers using the Hall. Both can be easily linked to computers to give a seamless and straightforward approach to things like PowerPoint presentations. Both can also be linked to high quality sound systems if required. To make things easier, a new screen has been added to the Hall. Permanently attached to the wall it can be lowered for use at the push of a button.

Chairman Alan Wilkinson said "To attract a wide range of users we have had to enter the digital age with enthusiasm. The ease with which speakers can arrive and set up has been commented on in the past and I am delighted we can now offer this facility in both meeting rooms. We still have a small mobile screen that can be put up in either the Small Room or the Lounge. Together with the projector we can offer this service for audiences from 10 to 150 people"

Though the main focus of the Community Centre is serving the residents that live in the village, renting the rooms to local authority, charity and commercial groups is a growing source of revenue.
