Hartley & Parry, a local building contractor based in Chester, recently donated their time and labour to Tarvin Primary School so that the aged tiled facade could be replaced.
Many of you will have noticed that the old hanging tile wall covering to the school hall had started to fall into disrepair and the school governors had it on their list to replace it. As Hartley & Parry are working in the village on two residential extension projects they were asked to provide a quote. In pricing up the work Ben Parry immediately offered their services for free leaving the school to only cover the cost of the materials.
Ben said;
"Our team really enjoy working in Tarvin and we are on our third home extension project at the moment. Whenever we can we like to give something back to the communities we work in and with school budgets tightening we felt we could help out the school by supplying our skills and labour for free'.
The school governors are very grateful to the excellent job Ben, Blaese and their team have done and all for a lot less than the school might have otherwise paid.
