Tarvin Methodist Church – 40th Anniversary

TARVIN METHODIST CHURCH

Our service next Sunday 7th April at 11am will celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Consecration and Re-dedication of Tarvin Methodist Church.

The new church was built on the site of the old Top Chapel built in 1865, with many of the original features retained. The Bottom Chapel in lower High Street was then sold to part fund the new build. This is now a private residence.

The present Chapel THE CHURCH ON THE HIGH STREET, plays an important part in village life and the attached photos show some of the activities and events that are held there.

The service will be led by a former Minister of the Church, Rev. Sue Levitt, at 11am. This will be followed by the cutting (and eating) of a celebration cake . There will be an exhibition of memorabilia and photographs of the day and the old chapel.
