Tarvin Pre-school Open Day

Tarvin Pre-School & Day Nursery are holding an Open Day on Thursday 31st October.

There are two sessions available between 10.00am and 11.30am and between 1.30pm and 3.00pm. Parents are invited with their child to visit the Nursery whilst it is in full flow to experience all the exciting activities on offer. Our theme for the day is Halloween and we will be offering a range of craft activities around the theme.

The setting offers places for Pre-school children (those starting school in September 2025) and our close links with the Primary school enables the children to feel part of the environment in readiness for starting school as well as meeting the other children they will go to school with. We also welcome children who will not necessarily be attending Tarvin school as they too will benefit from the exciting learning opportunities in readiness for starting their chosen school.

The setting takes children from age 2 who have a lovely time in our homely nurturing environment with close support from our experienced, caring and friendly practitioners.

All our children benefit from our love of outdoors from den making, potion making in the wooded area and mud kitchen to growing our own fruit and vegetables which the children care for and harvest when read, prepared and eaten in the Nursery.

The setting enjoys the lovely grounds of the school, its fields, playground and wooded area on site. The children also visit the woodland walk which runs alongside the school grounds. We enjoy being part of the local community and visit the library, the playing fields and the churches as well as walks around the village.
