Shirley Harrison – Women and the Home Guard

Our next meeting is a talk by Shirley Harrison on Women in the Home Front, and on the Home Guard, which promises to be very interesting, especially as the men involved will be coming in Home Guard uniform, complete with guns.

We have been assured that the guns have been deactivated, and appropriate insurance has been obtained. However, if anyone hears shots coming from the Community Centre next week .....

Hoping to see some new faces, visitors are always welcome. Refreshments and raffle included in admission price of £1 (WI Members) £2 Visitors.

Talks are usually around an hour plus a bit of WI news and a chance to mingle, enjoy refreshments and catch up with friends, Old and new

Whether you're a regular member or just curious to find out more about the WI or Women in the Home Guard / on the Home front, we'd love to see you there. New members and visitors are always welcome-- no need to book, just turn up!
