What we do

If you are retired or semi-retired, then Tarporley and District U3A might be for you!

Members come from far and wide and meet on the 4th Thursday in the month at Tarporley Community Centre at 10 am. where we have a monthly speaker and refreshments.

Membership costs only £15 a year. As a member you can request to join one or more of around 30 Interest Groups, ranging from Antiques to Walking; Science to Languages and Table Tennis to Singing for Fun. Interest Groups are not lessons, they are run by members, for members, who share knowledge with each other. The main aim is to enjoy making new friendships, visiting new places and gaining new knowledge. Each group levies its own small charge, to cover expenses. All ideas from members for new Interest Groups are very welcome.

The Social Team offers day trips, theatre outings and other events and the Concert Goers Group offers tickets and transport to the best music around. There is usually an annual holiday, so far members have travelled to Paris, Florence, Lisbon, Lake Maggiore, Seville, Cordoba and Granada.

Come and join us – share your expertise and enthusiasm, visitors are welcome to come to one meeting before joining to see what we are all about.
