City Centre site investigation works 14 October to 24 November 2019

Enabling works are required ahead of the Chester Northgate development including the installation of a new surface water drain. Work is taking place to investigate the location of services as well as ground conditions. This will inform the most efficient method for the construction of a new drain when work takes place in 2020.
The drain will provide greater capacity for the drainage of surface water providing benefits for the city as a whole. The new drain will allow the separation of surface water from waste water which will allow more efficient treatment of waste water and will significantly reduce the risk of flooding or drain bursts.
