At the recent Parish Council meeting it was reported that Council had received several complaints regarding overgrown and overhanging hedges preventing local residents from walking past without stepping onto the road. The footpath along Holme Street on the A54 road is also a cycle route and cyclists were finding it difficult to cycle along that route due to some overgrown hedges.

If you have responsibility for a hedge please ensure that it is always cut back sufficiently for those passing to do so easily.

Textile production contributes more to climate change than international aviation and shipping combined, consumes lake-sized volumes of fresh water and creates chemical and plastic pollution.
