Friday Film Night is earlier than usual this month and so, to avoid possible disappoint, we are putting out this reminder.
At 18.00 there is the usual family film and tonight it is Ferdinand, an animated film inspired the 1936 children's book written by American author Munro Leaf and illustrated by Robert Lawson. The book tells the story of a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. He sits in the middle of the bull ring failing to take heed of any of the provocations of the matador and others to fight. Determined to return to his family, he rallies a misfit team on the ultimate adventure. It is by the director of the Rio films.
Following on at 20.00, there is the adult Friday night film which is The Greatest Showman. Starring Hugh Jackman, and inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum of Barnum Circus fame, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. The run time is 105 minutes.
