Twenty seven members of the flower club had a lovely evening visiting Mayfield nr Bunbury for their annual garden visit. We were made very welcome by Mrs. Jeannie France Hayhurst and her husband. The friendly black cat accompanied us round the gardens and once the tea and cakes were served the 2 family dogs also joined us.
The peonies were particularly good as well as roses but this garden has interest for much of the year. This garden is in the National Garden Scheme booklet and is a new entry this year.
We can recommend it and they have an open day on July 8th from 10am- 4-30pm if you wish to visit.
The next flower club meeting will be on 11th July. It is the A.G.M.but I can assure you that it will take place quickly and will be followed by strawberries and cream and some interesting flowery ideas for you.
It starts at 7-30 in The Edna Rose room at the Community Centre.
