This week is sure to be a very busy one for the volunteers and trustees of The George Heath Foundation....

This Saturday sees the Foundation host the event that started it all off....our football tournament! The fourth time of hosting – and we will definitely have a new winners name on the trophy as both of the previous winners (The Vinegar Drinkers 2016 and 2017 and Sea Bass FC 2018 are unable to make the event this time!

The draw for the "Group Stages" will take place in The George & Dragon on Thursday evening at 7.00pm – please join us there for the start of our festivities!

28 teams have signed up – so it promises to be a busy footballing day – but if you have the opportunity please do pop down to the King George V Playing Fields – refreshments including the famous Wally Dutton burgers, bacon sandwiches and hot dogs will be being served by a team of ladies lead by our lovely friend Sandra Plank (mum to one of our trustees Robbie!)

We will also be treated to crepes / pancakes served by the amazing ladies from the Christmas Festival Committee – one of the allocations from the GHF has been to the Christmas Festival towards the crepe machine and gazebos in order to help them become more self sufficient!

....and of course a GHF event would not be the same without refreshments from our amazing friends Paul and Michelle of Cestrian Bars.....I'm told that a "turbo shandy" will be a bargain on Saturday!

In the evening we are doubling up on the day's festivities with the second hosting of our "Celebration Evening" – being held in the Community Centre...entertainment provided by an amazing local band (including 3 of George's friends) "Muddy Elephant" – Sam Passey, Tom Smeatham and Barney Huxtable form 3/4 of the band and have delivered new music that has featured in the background on "This Morning" – they are also "BBC Introducing" artists!

For nourishment, we are delighted that "The Sticky Sausage Company" have created a mouthwatering menu.... we can't wait to try it!

....and of course Cestrian Bars will be there too!

Tickets are available from Tarvin Post Office, or gaynor@thegeorgeheathfoundation.org.uk or via our Facebook page messenger! The deadline for ticket sales is this Friday 17th May!
