Prize Bingo event -Friday 11th October

On behalf of the trustees of The George Heath Foundation I would just like to pass on our thanks for a fantastic fundraising evening of prize bingo on Friday evening!

A hundred and eighty supporters of the Foundation came to the Community Centre....with all of the prizes donated by local businesses and individuals....huge thanks go to all who contributed to the event, whether that was by buying tickets to come along, or by means of donating prizes – the event quite simply couldn't go ahead with out your support.THANK YOu!

We also would like to say thank you to everyone who came on the evening and then helped with the organisation....Helen & Adam Friend, Jane Bulow, Rachel Williams, Sue Lewis, Mary Latham, Edith Heath, Heather Rowland and of course, not forgetting the amazing volunteers from the community centre who manned the bar...Ted and Jane Lush and Jane Armstrong – you all did an incredible job!

At half time, the Foundation chairman, Bruce Lister, gave an update of "The Foundation by Numbers" outlining the funds raised to date, and also the allocations made by the Foundation since the last bingo event.

Taking account of the £1844 raised on Friday evening, the George Heath Foundation (marking 3 years on Friday since we received our official confirmation of registration from the Charities Commission) has now raised in excess of £37,000 for distribution to local causes, individuals and "George's Network "..

So far, almost £22,000 has been distributed with a further £5,150 currently earmarked for other projects shortly to be completed.

We are very very grateful for the support of our community! Thank you!

You will see us next at the Tarvin Christmas Festival...in the meantime, please keep an eye on our Facebook page or our website www.thegeorgeheathfoundation.org.uk
