The George Heath Memorial Trophy

This Saturday sees the village host the third running of The George Heath Memorial Football Trophy at The King George V Playing Fields (the Rec!).

Up to 24 teams will once again complete in our own version of the Champions League or World Cup to see who can lift the silverware. Will it be George's cousins' team "Vinegar Dinkers FC" once again...or will one of their often weirdly named rivals come and take the prize this time?

Refreshments will be served all day – with our lovely friends Sandra Plank and Jane Bulow in charge of Bacon Sandwiches, Burgers, Tea, Coffee and a variety of cakes.

The amazing Paul and Michelle Robinson of Cestrian Bars will also be open from 11am with their inflatable pub "The Stagger Inn"
