Following yesterdays successful apple pressing the Harvest Festival Celebration at Tarvin Methodist Church led by the Rev Jo Brown was an appt occasion to celebrate not only the abundant apple harvest but many harvests of land and sea that we are blessed with but often take for granted.
The traditional display of fruit and vegetables and the modern inclusion of tinned and dried goods represented a good cross section of all these harvests and was a sight to behold.
The fresh fruit and vegetables are to be donated to Save the Family and all the dried and tinned goods will be used by the food bank. Our grateful thanks to everyone who donated goods.
A hot pot supper with harvest hymns, poems and readings will take place on Wednesday 9th October at 7pm at Tarvin Methodist Church. There is no charge but donations will be gratefully received. A warm welcome awaits.
