Miss Radcliffe -An Apology!!

The Local History Group hope you enjoyed the serialisation of Miss Radcliffe's talk to Tarvin Civic Trust which we covered in a series of articles in September/October.

Unfortunately there were some mistakes in the labelling of some photographs so please forgive us if you noted them-a slight lack of communication (perhaps)!

Here are a collection of old photographs you might enjoy seeing which have been taken from various sources:

The History Group has published two photographic books -- "Reflections of Tarvin"(1989) and "Further Reflections of Tarvin" (1992).

Reflections 1

Reflections 2

Sadly the "Reflections of Tarvin" is now out of print but Tarvin Library has several copies available to view.

However, "Further Reflections of Tarvin", is still available. With photos from 1937 -1977 it includes many people who still live in the village and shows how the village has developed over time and would be of particular interest to newcomers to Tarvin during that time.

Copies are available from the Post Office shop at a cost of £5, and would make ideal Christmas Presents!!
