At the Parish Council last night (Monday 22ndMay) Councillor Peter Ryan was elected as Chairman of the Parish Council for the coming year. Councillor Ryan, who lives in Oscroft, was co-opted onto the Parish Council in March 2016.
Councillor Ted Lush, who has been Chairman since May 2013, was elected as Vice Chairman.
A number of Councillors were unable to attend the meeting due to holiday and family commitments. The election of Councillors to several working parties and sub-committees was deferred until the next meeting when more councillors should be present.
Tarvin Online wishes Councillor Ryan a successful term in office. With the pressures from potential developments and the still unresolved issue of the Travellers site, he has taken the reins at an interesting time.
