The following is a news item from the Parish Council ....
At the Tarvin Parish Council (PC) meeting on Monday evening it was reported that a couple of months ago a local resident had suggested to one of our Borough Councillors that a poster competition for children at Tarvin Primary School to highlight the problem of dog fouling might be a good idea.
The idea was put to the school and agreed. 17 entries were submitted and 2 winners were picked each of whom was given a £25 cash prize and all the entrants shared some chocolates.
All the entries are displayed on one of the noticeboards in the main Hall at Tarvin Community Centre and the 2 winning posters can been seen on noticeboards around Tarvin, Oscroft and Tarvin Community Woodland.
The PC was delighted with this initiative which had all been privately funded and highlighted a genuine problem.
PLEASE PICK UP YOUR DOG'S MESS AND DEPOSIT IT IN ANY BIN. THANK YOU.
Copies of the two winning entries are attached.
