We were glad to welcome once more the band and choristers of the Chester Salvation Army to start our Christmas celebrations with a carol concert on Thursday 14th December. A record audience filled the church to capacity.
We were treated to a quality performance by the very talented band and choristers, enhanced by a very impressive display by the choristers with tambourines The audience joined in many of the carols with great enthusiasm. Tea and mince pies were served afterwards, providing a very sociable atmosphere to catch up with friends old and new.
A collection was taken for the work of the Salvation Army in Chester and gifts of toiletries donated at our gift service were presented to be used in their work with homeless people.
This was a very happy and meaningful evening enjoyed by many for which we give thanks to all members of the band and choir.
If you missed it this is an annual event in Tarvin and we look forward to seeing you in December 2018.
