Following the success of the inaugural TarpFest in June 2018, the village-wide festival returns once again over midsummer weekend, 21st to 23rd June 2019.
This year the team will be raising funds for Tarporley Community Centre's New Roof Appeal.
The much used and well-loved local community centre has a roof that is now 60 years old and the leaks are getting more frequent and difficult to repair! The anticipated cost of the project is expected to be in the region of £100,000. To help with these costs Team TarpFest is donating proceeds from the weekend festival of music, activities, food and drink to the roof appeal.
TarpFest takes place over the weekend of 21st -23rd June. Venues along the beautiful Georgian High Street will play host to a variety of local acts from Chester and beyond, as well as offering fabulous food and drink. You can enjoy performances on the public stages, browse Tarporley's gorgeous independent shops and follow the amazing art trail through the village.
You can take part in a Zumbathon with Nikki G, enjoy watching The Clay Collective in their pop-up ceramics studio, relax through a jazz afternoon tea or even join an historic ghost walk.
For the young ones, there is TarpFest tots, a morning of activities in the community centre which culminates in a Teddy Bear's picnic. For the over 18's it all starts on the Friday night with an evening of music, dancing and fun with the Raise the Roof kick off event in the community centre. There really is something for everyone, plenty of free parking and fabulous places to eat and drink. Come and visit!
