1st Tarvin Beavers have been busy building new bug houses in Tarvin Woodland. There are now three multi-storey luxury hotels where all kinds of insects and minibeasts can shelter, hibernate and thrive. Okells Garden Centre kindly donated some wooden pallets which we used for the framework; Beavers then enjoyed filling each nook and cranny with various items such as broken pieces of brick, tiles, sticks, pieces of dead wood, cardboard tubes and old plant pots. The finished results were amazing and will hopefully attract lots of insects and provide a safe haven for them.
Ed: The bug houses look great in the woodlands. Go and have a look, they are behind the school
