New Head

From the History Group's scrapbooks for July 1989 there is an article announcing the new head for Tarvin Primary School.

Mr Glyn Turner (then aged 34) replaced retiring head, Mr David Wilson. He was the deputy head of the High Street School in Winsford and originally lived in Derbyshire.

The retiring head, Mr Wilson, had spent 36 years in the profession, and few teachers could have started their careers teaching John Lennon at Coverdale School, Penny Lane, Liverpool!
