Our local football team Tarvin Recs scored a storming win in the final of the Bill Gresty Trophy on Sunday 15th April.
The opposition (Custom House) went 1-0 up, before a CH defender brought down Tarvin lad, Ryan Cartwright in the area resulting in a penalty. Neil Astbury slotted home the penalty to make it a very tight and close 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes.
In extra time, Harry Huxtable was able to take advantage of the Custom House defence to score the winning goal and prompt wild celebrations by the Tarvin supporters and team!
Very very well done to the Tarvin Recs! Champions!
