On the 13th October, Tarvinonline published an article encouraging residents to enter teams into the Annual Tarvin Quiz which will take place in the community Centre on the 13th and 20th January 2017.

This is a reminder to all those teams that wish to enter you should get your applications into Margaret Dixon as soon as possible (Details below).

This will be the 35th time this popular annual quiz has been held in Tarvin, pictured are the Bowling Club team, current holders of the trophy who won through to the final as highest scoring loser and then went on to win it! The first winners were the Gardening Society in 1985, the black and white photo of the team includes from left to right Bryan Evans, Len Facer (Capt.), Penny Lowden and Alex Henderson.

We should also mention Eric Powell, he deserves a special mention as he has helped in one capacity or another for longer than anyone else. He helped to set the questions for many years and has been timekeeper (and general help to the questionmaster) for a long time. Well done Eric!!

This is a great evening out so why not come along, and maybe enter a team, all are welcome!

Details as follows:

The 2017 Village Quiz will be held as usual at Tarvin Community Centre on Fridays 13th and 20th January.
