25 years of friendship – St Andrews Women's Group

The St Andrew's Womens group meeting held on Wednesday 5th July was a great success with a special cake and Fizz to mark the occasion.

The group was originally organised by Ruth Hardiman, Jenny Burkill Howarth and Lyn Orfanelli as treasurer in response to a suggestion by the Rev David Herbert. He felt such a group was needed and would be welcomed. How right he was.

Jenny reminded us (in rhyme) of all the things we had shared over the years, the speakers and the outings; the Christmas parties and other celebrations which have given us happy times and many memories. Sharing our memories and recollections, remembering our friends and all the friendship and happiness we have shared was a great privilege. A food related quiz prepared by Rev Barbara and a poem by Mary Morgan completed our evening's celebration. A lovely evening enjoyed by all.

We have no meeting in August so we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday September 6th. And wish everyone a very good summer break.
