The Community Centre is delighted to announce that they will be screening a Family Film with a showing of Peter Rabbit 2 on Friday June 25th at 6.00pm Tickets are now available at t he Post Office at the usual price of £3 for a child and £4 for an adult.

The film will be followed at 8.00 by a screening of Nomadland, the Oscar winning film starring Frances McDormand. The ticket price for this is £5.

Vice Chair Sue Hardacre said "We are absolutely delighted that we ae able to bring our younger village members back into the Community Centre for a film. This has been one of our most popular events and we have missed having the young one in."

However, there are some changes to the usual organisation:

  • Admission is by ticket only and is limited to 40 people in total.
  • Children and adults will sit in family groups on chairs, there will be no mats at the front.
  • All drinks and sweet orders will be taken from and delivered to seats, there will be no direct service from the bar.
  • Adults must wear masks except while drinking.
  • The doors will not be open until 5.30, so please do not come too early, your seat is guaranteed.
  • For the 8.00pm film, please use the rear Lounge doors which will not be open until 7.30. Please do not come too early, a seat is guaranteed with a ticket.

Sue said "Like everyone else, we are waiting somewhat anxiously for the confirmation of any easing of Covid restrictions. Should restrictions be lifted, we will raise the ticket numbers to 60 only for both films. As this is the last film until September, we still feel that a degree of caution, for both our audiences and volunteers, is a sensible step. Hopefully, by September 24th, real normality will be with us once again and our film nights can get back to being the relaxed and informal events they have been in the past"

Notice of any changes will be posted on village notice boards, Tarvin Online and www.facebook.com/tarvincc
