The Autumn colours of trees can be so glorious that people will fly to New England in the States to experience the scene. It might not be quite so spectacular in England but, if the meteorologists are to be believed, it might be one on the best displays in this country for a number of years. The reason given is that we are currently enjoying warm sunny days and increasing cold nights and that these conditions are ideal for developing intense colours in the leaves.
One tree on Holme Street is already providing a preview of what might be to come. The top picture shows just how how far advance this particular tree is when compared with is neighbours in the background. While bottom picture shows the beautiful colours that the tree has already produced. I know I am not the first person to stop and take its photograph.
