An innovative and award winning programme for pre-school children is being launched in Tarvin. The Creation Station's hands-on art and craft exploration sessions give young children the chance to safely experiment with a wide range of materials, tools and ideas. Anne Crump is leading the term-time programme for youngsters and their parents/carers at Tarvin Community Centre starting on May 4th. Anne was born in Waverton and has spent the last three decades inspiring imaginations in all areas of art and design in various schools around the world including Belgium, Norway and Malaysia. Having recently relocated back to Cheshire, Anne decided to use her design skills to engage the next generation of creative thinkers and is passionate about allowing children the opportunity to explore materials and experiment with ideas.

Anne said "I am really excited about bringing the Creation Station to Tarvin. My aim is to inspire children's imaginations through our specially designed art and craft activities and products. As well as being terrific fun for both child and adult, the sessions encourage positive parenting skills through practical play. In addition to developing a child's thinking and creative skills, plus points for parents are also they don't have the worry and stress of cleaning up like they would at home and everything that they need is provided at each session."

As well as running two classes per week at the Community Centre, Anne is also keen to organise 'Arty Parties' ahead of when restrictions lift after May 17th. These are a fantastic focus to help celebrate all of those lockdown birthdays and are bookable for the Tarvin area directly with Anne. She also offers a range of adult craft activities and kits to promote the well-being benefits of crafting to all ages.

Vice Chair Sue Hardacre said "We are delighted to welcome another new class to the Centre. After such a long period of quiet it is heartening to see that new opportunities are on offer to residents who have experienced such a narrowing of life in recent months"
