Walk-in vaccination dates being postponed at short notice

Many in Tarvin are now receiving communication that we need another booster vaccination.

I followed the instructions for the computer link and found that Vicar's Cross Centre was open Tuesday 13th between 3 and 6pm. Also 10 -6pm on Wednesday and Thursday.

I went along and joined the queue. As I neared the door, after waiting about 10 minutes, I noticed a scrap of paper which had scrawled on it "No Walk ins today" This notice was only visible at close proximity. On questioning this I was told that walk ins start next week, 19th September. I had checked the computer yesterday but not today and in the meantime the information had changed.

As I left the queue I mentioned to those waiting that if they had no appointment they were wasting their time. One man came from the queue and said he had been last week and turned away until this Monday 12th when walk ins were starting. In the 10 minutes I was there 4 of us had to leave. So check your computer just before leaving home if you don't want to waste time, effort and fuel.
