Broadband and phone problems?

A Tarvin resident has contacted us to say he is having trouble with no phone or broadband and his supplier (not BT) has told them there is a major fault at the exchange and that there are dozens of people affected in the Tarvin area?
Have you heard anything about this or are you having problems/
