Friday 13th December 2013 from 18:00 pm to 22:00 pm

Saturday 14th December 2013 from 18:00 pm to 22:00 pm.

Please take extra care during Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Many of the things we enjoy during this festive period, such as the fairy lights, candles, paper hats and decorations, can all be fire hazards when proper care is not taken.

Christmas drink drive campaign

Cheshire firefighters launched the Christmas Drink Drive Campaign on Monday 25th November 2013, with a visit from the Wilson Family whose son, Matthew, was tragically killed in a road traffic collision in October 2010. His car will be used to interact with the public over the festive period with a hard-hitting message to raise awareness of the impact and consequences of drink driving
His family donated the vehicle- now known as the Think Car- to demonstrate the very real and tragic consequences of drink driving. They hope that it will prevent another family having to go through what they have and allow young people to see for themselves how life can change for a family at the turn of a wheel.

The Choir: Sing While You Work- Quarter Final

The Cheshire Fire Choir went through to the quarter-final of The Choir: Sing While You Work, on BBC 2 at 9pm on Monday 9th December. In this programme the final five choirs came face to face when they arrived at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London.

The choirs undertook three days of intense tuition and tackled some of the giants of classical music which, after just 72 hours, they performed to three world-class judges.

Our Cheshire Fire choir tackled operatic Verdi with all sirens blaring.

After three of the most musically intense days of The Choir so far, which choirs satisfied Gareth Malone's determination that they achieve musical excellence?
