Plans for reducing speed limits around schools

Heath Drive already benefits from a low Speed limit, which helps keep Tarvin Primary School Children safe. The roads around other Cheshire West schools have been assessed based on the type of road that the school entrance leads onto. The findings have led to recommendations for reducing speed limits outside 18 schools in total.

Protecting Chester's Historic Rows

Chester has continued picking up awards, this year it was named as one of the most welcoming cities on earth, in addition to being named the world's most beautiful city and the world's prettiest city. But to keep welcoming residents, businesses and the millions of visitors each year doesn't happen by accident.

Working together, businesses, residents, the Council and many partner organisations ensure the city continues to maintain the high standards expected from this international standing.

This summer Cheshire West and Chester Council completed the installation of a series of heritage signs on the entrances to Chester's Rows. The project funded by Chester BID is part of a series of conservation and improvements on the historic Rows. Helping to better promote the many businesses at Row level has seen fifteen new signs pointing shoppers to over 90 businesses.
A Boards and unauthorisd Signage is not allowed on the Historic Rows so these heritage signs are a welcome addition to help promote those businesses that make the Rows such an iconic place to go shopping.
